We accept members who are over the age of 18 and not a resident of the USA, or any of the countries listed on the OFAC Sanctions List.

We only accept investments from individuals once they have successfully completed our registration process.

Please see our terms and conditions for more information and please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Our registration process requires you to complete the following simple steps:

  1. Sign up and agree to our terms and conditions
  2. Self-certify which type of investor you are
  3. Complete a short appropriateness quiz
  4. Identity check

Our registration process is important to ensure we are compliant with the regulations set by the FCA, but it should also give you confidence over the suitability of your fellow investor community.

Once you have successfully completed the registration process GCEN will open an e-wallet, which will be operated in accordance with GCEN's standard terms of business.

As part of the registration process and to ensure we comply with anti-money laundering procedures we require you to complete an identity check on the platform (supported by our partner GB Group).

For the majority of people we are able to confirm their identity based on their name, address and date of birth within a matter of seconds. If for any reason it is not possible to confirm an identity from this information alone, you may be asked to provide some additional information, such as a passport or driving license number.

In the event that it is still not possible to confirm your identity online we will review the application and may need to contact you. It will not be possible to complete the registration process or make any form of investment through the platform until an identity check has been successfully completed.

As part of the registration process and to ensure we comply with the regulations set by the FCA, we require all users to confirm which type of investor they are from the options available and to complete a few multiple choice questions to enable us to assess their suitability to make an investment through the Homegrown platform.

In the event you fail the appropriateness quiz, you will be unable to complete the registration process or make any form of investment through the platform for a period of up to 30 days. After this time you may be invited to retake the appropriateness quiz.
